Funding Partners

The MCHRA Public Transit has successfully integrated funding under the belief that coordination is cost-effective and efficient. MCHRA Public Transit utilizes Section 5311 of the Urban Mass Transit Act, Title III-B of the Older Americans Act, and other funds as available through the Tennessee Department of Transportation as its three major funding sources.The Funding is also received through contracts with TennCare and other agencies within our region.

Our Access to Jobs Program is funded by the Federal Transit Administration and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
